We are pleased to announce that the band has just purchased two new Rath trombones to replace the Solo and Bass trombones. The third will be purchased some time next year depending on band funds. Thank you to all who have given to the band instrument fund recently, without your help we would not be able to purchase these instruments. They will arrive some time in November.

Senior Band Awards

At our Christmas concert we presented our Annual Awards. Here are this year's results!!

The Tim Baker Memorial Trophy, is presented to the person who has contributed the most to the band throughout the year as voted by the band members. this year it was won by Steve Ingham well done Steve. In second place was Jackie Adams and 3rd was Nigel Perrin.

The Fred Tranter Attendance award is presented to the person who has attended the most practices and engagements throughout the year. This was won by Malcolm Francis, in second place was Nicola Sansom and Stella Kenyon .

The Under 18's Cup Howe Trophy is presented to the 18 and under who has improved the most in their playing throughout the year as voted by the senior members. This was awarded to Mirriam Williams with a joint second place between Alex White, Andrew Bartlett

Junior Band Awards

The Fred & Dorren Grinnell cup is awarded to the Youngest Junior Member. This year this was presented to cornet player Sebastian Raymond age 6.

 The John Fricker Memorial cup is awarded to the junior that Jackie Adams who teaches the Juniors, feels has deserved this cup for the extra effort that has been put in throughout the year. This year it has been presented to George Harison. Well done George!
